TEFL Greece has TEFL job vacancies
with dozens of schools of English in Greece. Anglo-Hellenic has been
supplying English teachers to schools of English in Greece since
1997, and in that time we have placed hundreds of English teachers
in their first teaching jobs in Greece.
Most TEFL jobs in Greece start in September, when schools of English
in Greece start the new academic year. During the summer TEFL
courses in July and August, you'll have first pick of the TEFL job
vacancies, so you'll be able to choose from TEFL job locations all
over Greece, in Athens, the rest of the Greek mainland and the Greek
islands. During this period, school directors often visit our
training centers to interview new teachers for TEFL jobs. We can
also arrange for you to visit schools with job vacancies so that by
the time you finish the TEFL course, you will have already lined up
your first teaching job in Greece.
There are also several teaching job vacancies in January, although
not so many as in September. This means that if you take the TEFL
Greece course in November or December, you will have a teaching job
to come back to after Christmas, but you will need to be more
flexible as to where in Greece you teach, as there are not so many
locations available at this time of year.
There are several thousand schools of English in Greece, and a large
proportion of these employ native speakers of English, so there is
always a strong demand in Greece for English teachers. TEFL Greece
has links with many of these schools, and they prefer to hire
teachers who have taken the TEFL course in Greece as this means you
are familiar with the methods of teaching English in Greece.
In the summer months, we have so many TEFL job vacancies for
teaching jobs starting in September that we also recruit teachers
who have already taken their certification somewhere else. But if
you're planning to teach English in Greece, the most effective way
to prepare is to take the TEFL course here. You'll have teaching
practice with Greek learners of English, children and teenagers,
just like the people you'll be teaching in your first teaching job
after you complete the TEFL course.
Outside the peak hiring periods of
September and January, there are a few TEFL job vacancies throughout
the year. With such large numbers of English teachers teaching in
Greece, there is always some turnover during the year, so whatever
time of year you choose to take the TEFL Greece course, there's an
excellent chance that you'll have a teaching job in Greece at the
end of it. |
